Orlando MonorailOwning a vacation home in Orlando gives you the added advantage of taking your time to take the transportation of your choice. There is enough convenient transportation and clear road signs to please your rental guests as well.

Orlando Vacation Homes: The transportation to Orlando is easy. You can get there from just about anywhere in the world and whether you drive in, or come by plane or train, there is easy navigation and taxis, trolleys, and shuttles for hire to get you where you want to go in style and comfort. Make the drive from Chicago and park the car. Call a shuttle or taxi to take you to Sea World, the Epcot Center, or Universal Studios for the day. Take the car if you wish to be in control of where you go and what you do throughout the day.

Since Orlando is geared toward visitors from all over the world, the transportation within the area has evolved into an easy place to get from one place to another. The most flexible way to get around is, of course, a vehicle that you drive yourself. That gives you the option of arriving where you want to go at the time you want to get there. You’ll leave when you choose to leave, even if it’s earlier or later than planned.

When you are travelling with children it’s probably best to have a car at your disposal as you can anticipate their nap times and any special needs they may have, but stay later than planned to see a show you didn’t realize was available from the brochure. Road signs are now abundant and clearly show you the way to most popular attractions. Call where you plan to go before you leave the house to see whether there is construction in the area that you should avoid and ask about alternative routes to take just in case.

If you are within the Orlando International Drive area you can get around on foot or by taking the trolley. The I-Ride Trolley is inexpensive and fun for a nominal fee. The trolley runs frequently and is just a quarter per ride for seniors and free for kids less than 12 years of age. Adults pay a whopping $1.25 per ride and the trolley goes to several popular attractions and shopping outlets found in Orlando. A good way to get around in that area is to drive to the International Drive and park the car. Then take the I-Trolley for a unique experience the family will enjoy. When you own your own vacation home in Orlando, you will have the luxury of trying out all the different travel options and attractions throughout the area.
